Do you have a list of favorite things? You know those things you just love. The things that make your life more pleasant? I do. (This is not a career related post but a post that is just for fun :)) Here is a list of my favorite things.
1) Starbucks: My drink? Grande Decaf Carmel Frappuccino Light hold the whip not the caramel.
I love this drink so much. Even though I can’t have caffeine (it makes me super dizzy) I still enjoy Starbucks I just always get everything decaf. Starbucks just makes everything better right?
2) My ipod:
3) My fake acrylic nails:
I love my fake nails. There I said it. Now I don’t have crazy long bright orange nails. I always get the same french manicure with pink and white square tips. I think the nails make my hands look very elegant.
Occasionally I’ll change it up (one time I got purple tips) but I normally always get a french manicure with pink and white tips. I love the way it makes my hands look and the sound they make when I’m typing.
4) My new Betsey Johnson glasses:
I had the same glasses for five years and recently I decided it was time for a change. Even though my new glasses are VERY similar to my old ones, they are slightly different. The new glasses are cat eyed and are pink on the sides. I also got them (like my old pair) from Costco and got a great deal.
5) PINK by Victoria’s Secret:
Even though this brand is WAY too expensive-I love the PINK clothes. I have a couple of sweat pants and a tee for lounging and they are so well made and so comfortable. I wear them constantly.
6) Sleeping in:
Oh the beauty of sleeping in. It is so nice when you look at the clock thinking you have to wake up, then you realize you don’t have to and roll back into the covers for at least an hour more of sleep.
7) The Disney Princesses:
As you can probably tell by now I’m a total girlie girl. Even though I am an adult, I still ADORE the Disney princesses. My two favorites are Belle and Ariel. I also love Tinker Belle (even though she is not a princess).
The last time I went to Disneyland I insisted that we go to the Princess Fantasy Faire. We waited in line for two hours but it was totally worth it. My mom and I went to Ariel’s Grotto and got to meet all the Disney princesses while we ate lunch. It was wonderful.
8. Pictures: I love pictures. I have around 13 picture frames in my room and the front and back of my closet and front door of my room are COVERED in pictures. I just love pictures and when people come over it’s fun for them to look at all the pictures. I have pictures of family, friends, and my pets. I have old pictures and newer pictures. When I redecorate or update my “picture walls” it allows me to be creative.
9) Lip gloss:
I get teased constantly about my obsession with lip gloss. I have very dry lips so I always have lip gloss on me. I just love how many different kinds of lip glosses there are and how they make your lips look.
10) My pillow pet:
It’s not just a pillow, it’s not just a pet, it’s both! This past Christmas I got a pillow pet and was utterly thrilled. I love how soft it is and how it can be a pillow or a pet.
11) The Daily Mail:
I love celebrity gossip and The Daily Mail has great gossip from the UK and the US!
12) The Voice:
I love this show. The talent is picked entirely on vocal ability. I haven’t watched American Idol since Fantasia won because honestly it got a little boring. This show is extremely entertaining. I love those chairs they sit in (I would like to own one), the judges aside from Blake Shelton (he seems a little snobby to me), and all the unique singers.
Last week was the battle round where two singers from the same team sing the same song and the judge (who’s also their coach) has to pick which one goes and which one stays. Tarralyn Ramsey and Frenchie Davis singing “All The Single Ladies” was fantastic! I bought their version of the song (along with several others) on Itunes because I enjoyed it so much.
13) Kate Middleton/The Royal Wedding:
I did not understand what all the fuss was about Kate Middleton and the Royal Wedding prior to watching the Royal Wedding and after watching the Royal Wedding (I now own a collector’s edition of People that covered all things Royal Wedding) I get what all the fuss was about.
The Royal Wedding was like a Disney movie come to life. Everyone seemed genuinely excited to be there and it was so fun to watch.
I think Kate Middleton is just a class act. Even though she’s not technically a princess she seems like one to me!
Kate is so graceful and poised. I love that she came from a normal, middle-class, background and that her mother started her own business and is now a millionaire. She seems to be truly beautiful inside and out.
